Rotarians joined members of Stave Valley Salmon and families from the community to plant trees at Silverdale Creek Wetlands on Saturday.  The weather, in spite of a gloomy forecast of everlasting rain, surprised us with a lovely spring day of mixed sun and clouds.  Families came down and planted trees and explored the area, finding frogs, birds and a swimming garter snake, much to the delight of certain young boys!  There was a Rubber Duck Race to raise money for the Mission Food Centre, and along with refreshments and home-made cookies, the day was a huge success!  Thanks to Jim Taylor (for organizing) and other members of the Rotary Club of Mission for helping.  Image
